Be a role model to your kids and teach them how to make healthy snack choices. Healthy snacks help give your kids the daily nutrients and energy they need.

Choose smart snacks and drinks such as:

  • Water and low-fat or nonfat milk
  • Bite-sized fruits and vegetables like carrots, apple slices and cucumbers
  • Low-fat yogurt
  • "Ants on a log" using celery, low-fat cottage cheese, cream cheese, or peanut butter, and raisins
  • Unsalted nuts
  • Plain popcorn
